Dental Crowns & Bridges
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped restoration that is placed directly over a damaged tooth. It can be used to restore lost dental structure, prevent a tooth from breaking, and help align the overall bite. A crown can also serve as support for a bridge, which can replace up to three consecutive missing teeth in a row. Both crowns and bridges can be made from a variety of biocompatible materials, and we specially color-match our restorations so they seamlessly blend into our patients’ smiles.
Tooth-colored fillings offer several advantages compared to old amalgam ones, chief among them that these fillings don’t contain any mercury. On top of this, the composite resin can be shaded to perfectly match the surrounding enamel, meaning the final restoration won’t stand out in the mouth. Plus, because tooth-colored fillings are metal-free, they don’t cause the temperature sensitivity that is common with traditional fillings.
CEREC Same-Day Crowns
In the past, if you needed a dental crown, the process of designing, making, and placing it would require you to visit the dentist at least two times spaced a few weeks apart. Thankfully, we’re now able to take care of everything in one efficient appointment thanks to CEREC. Our team can scan your tooth, digitally design your crown, and mill it right in our office. Then, we can place it in your mouth, and you’re ready to go. Rather than waiting weeks, the entire treatment only takes about one to two hours with this method.
Missing teeth are not only bad news for your smile, but they can be very detrimental to your overall health as well. We can replace a large number of teeth at the same time using a single, custom-made denture that restores your ability to eat and chew as well as your appearance. We offer partial dentures, full dentures, and even implant dentures. Each prosthetic is painstakingly designed to have the ideal look and fit, plus you can trust that it will last for years.
